CrossWorks Version 4 Installation Instructions

This package can only be installed if you have the following CrossWorks license bolt-ons:

• ARM License

To install this support package

1. Click the Tools > Package Manager menu option to open the package manager window.
2. Right click on the ELNICO SQM4-VF6 Board Support Package entry and select Install Selected Packages.
3. Click Next to take you to the summary page.
4. Click Next to install the package.
5. Click Finish to close the package manager window.
6. Click the Tools > Show Installed Packages.
7. Click on the ELNICO SQM4-VF6 Board Support Package link to view the package and its contents.

To manually install this support package

1. If you have not done so already, follow the CMSIS 3 Support Package, CrossWorks Tasking Library Package and NXP Vybrid CPU Support Package installation instructions.
2. Download the file ELNICO_SQM4_VF6.hzq using your web browser.
3. Click the Tools > Manually Install Packages menu option.
4. Select the file you have just downloaded to install the package.
5. Click the Tools > Show Installed Packages.
6. Click on the ELNICO SQM4-VF6 Board Support Package link to view the package and its contents.

Creating ELNICO SQM4-VF6 Projects

CrossStudio for ARM supports the ELNICO SQM4-VF6 board with loading and debugging applications into OCRAM and DDR. Ensure that you have the jumpers set to boot from SD card and that no SD card is inserted so that the board will run the ROM loader from reset.

To create a new ELNICO SQM4-VF6 Board project

• Select the File | New | New Project menu item.
• Select ELNICO_SQM4_VF6 from the Boards category list.
• Select the required project template type from the Project Templates list.
• Set the required project name and location directory.
• Click OK.

To build, load and debug an application running in OCRAM

• Select the project to work on by using the Project | Set Active Project menu option.
• Select the OCRAM placement by clicking on the project node in the project explorer.
• Build the project by using the Build | Build Project menu option.
• Connect to the appropriate target in the target window.
• Download and start debugging the current project by using Project | Start Debugging.

To build, load and debug an application running in DDR

• Select the project to work on by using the Project | Set Active Project menu option.
• Select the DDR placement by clicking on the project node in the project explorer.
• Build the project by using the Build | Build Project menu option.
• Connect to the appropriate target in the target window.
• Download and start debugging the current project by using Project | Start Debugging.

ELNICO SQM4-VF6 Project Specifics

Target Reset Script

The reset script in ELNICO_SQM4_VF6_Target.js supplies the function to set up the clocks and DDR which is implemented by running the DDR initialisation project.

Board Specific Files

The file ELNICO_SQM4_VF6_Target_ctl_board.c provides the SystemInit, led and button pressed function.
